2009

2009 Blogalicious Weekend

The first annual Blogalicious Weekend was held in Atlanta, Georgia, October 9-11, 2009. The attendees were published authors, influential bloggers, blue chip marketers, and most importantly, a diversity of social media enthusiasts.

Thank You

The theme of the inaugural conference was “Your Wow Factor” and all we can say is “WOW!”  By all accounts, Blogalicious 2009 was a success. From the attendance, to the location, sessions, sponsors, and social events, the weekend was better than we imagined.  We are overjoyed with appreciation for the energy and excitement that radiated during the conference and on the blogs and tweets gathered from all parts of the web.

Surpassing Expectations

When we set out to host the conference, we aimed for 150 conference attendees to keep the weekend intimate and personal.  Our reason for keeping it intimate was to unite bloggers and marketers so that they could develop relationships, relax and absorb quality information in a friendly atmosphere.  Although we were thrilled to reach our cap of 150 attendees, we still had many pleading to come.  Thanks to our generous sponsors, we were able to accommodate additional registrants and we are overjoyed to report that Blogalicious 2009 hosted 177 attendees; including a handful of men!

On Twitter

Conference attendees live Tweeted the event and, within the first hour of the conference on Saturday, Blogalicious09 was a Trending Topic on Twitter.  For an in-depth look at what the attendees had to say, read the #blogalicious09 Twitter Stream here.
